Wealdstone FC Official App
A National League club with a mobile first digital home for fans
The spark
Wealdstone Football Club is a semi professional side based in Ruislip in the London Borough of Hillingdon, currently competing in the National League, the fifth tier of English football.
This one landed as a brilliant curveball. Our CEO at Modu Darren Linden, also an executive board member at the club, asked if we could build an official app that would help supporters feel closer to the Stones, week in, week out.
The challenge
Build something fast, modern and genuinely useful, without the usual baggage. A small club still needs a big club experience. That meant a product that feels effortless on matchday, and still valuable midweek.
We used Builder.io as our rapid build platform, leaning into speed, iteration and structured journeys rather than heavy process. The goal was clear: ship a clean, scalable foundation that we could grow feature by feature.
The approach
I partnered closely with Roger Chick, a lead engineer with a ridiculous appetite for learning and a knack for making smart tech choices feel simple. Together we treated this as a design and build experiment with real stakes.

My role
roduct and experience lead across discovery to delivery:
• Journey mapping and information architecture
• UX and UI design, prototyping and interaction detail
• Design system thinking for consistency and scalability
• Content and microcopy tone to keep it human and
matchday friendly
• Tight collaboration with engineering to move fast without cutting corners
What we built
for fans
A focused, mobile first hub that keeps supporters connected and in the loop:
• Club news and updates
• Fixtures and results
• Match reports and video content
• Ticket purchase flow
• A modern experience with light and dark mode support
The outcome
In a matter of weeks, two people took a simple idea to a shipped product that looks and feels like a proper club platform. More importantly, it gave Wealdstone a foundation to keep building on, with fans at the centre.
